Pet Project Rescue works in combination with Isla Animals to rescue abandoned and abused dogs on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Almost all of our dogs come from Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Isla Animals is a safe haven for animals on the island, and this rescue works diligently with Pet Project Rescue to get dogs up to MN, and onto their forever homes.

The founder and director of Isla Animals, Alison Sawyer Current, recently published her first book, "No Urn for the Ashes". All proceeds, up to $100,000, will go to support animals in need on Isla Mujeres.
