Healthy food for a healthy pet

We make our food choices for our rescue dogs and cats based on what is best for the animals long term health. We feed foods that are made here in the USA, and therefore are FDA approved and are also human grade food. If you would not dare eat it why should your pet!

We do not feed foods that have "fillers" such as wheat and corn. The foods we choose to use are packed with lots of healthy proteins that your dog or cat needs to live a long healthy life. We find that feeding the best food possible to your pet reduces a number of health issues including obesity, heart disease, bladder infections, some cancers, and allergies, among many other things. If you have any questions at all about proper nutrition for your dog or cat feel free to contact us via email. (see Contact Us)

Here are some brands that we really like: Wellness, Natures Variety, Solid Gold, and NutriSource for dogs, and Natures Variety, Solid Gold, Innova Evo, NutriSource or Felidae for cats. All the Pet Stores under "Partners" sell these brands. You can also check out a "raw" diet for your dog or cat if they have special dietary needs and you struggle to find food that they can eat.  There are other foods that are appropriate to feed your pet that we do not have listed here; check with us if you have questions regarding your current dog or cat foods.

*We also love to support local businesses, and especially those businesses that strive to use the best ingredients in their products. We recommend using "Sojo's" dog treats and dog and cat food of all varieties. Pet Project Rescue prefers using "grain free" treats, which can be found at any of the pet stores listed under "Partners".
